Jones named National Athlete of the Week

Jones matched the fourth-fastest collegiate 60m time in his season opener Friday
NEW ORLEANS, La. – Terrence Jones was named the Division I National Athlete of the Week by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Monday afternoon.
It's the first time since 2018 that a male athlete fromTech has been named M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week during the indoor season (Trey Culver on January 16).
Jones went on to win the 60m final in convincing fashion, crossing the finish line with a time of 6.48 – current NCAA leader.
The Bahamas native will now prep for the 2023 NCAA Indoor Championships next weekend (Mar. 10-11) in Albuquerque.

In the prelims of the Big 12 Indoor Championships Friday, Jones posted a season-opening 60m time of 6.46, the fourth-fastest in collegiate.
