Red Raiders clean up USTFCCCA Region awards

The Texas Tech men wrapped up the indoor season with a national champion in Terrence Jones
NEW ORLEANS – The Texas Tech track and field team garnered a total of seven U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Mountain Region awards Thursday afternoon.
Mountain Region Honors
In his 24th season at the helm, Kittley guided the men's program to its third overall Big 12 indoor title scoring the second-most points in program history (159). The men's side stayed inside the top-4 rankings throughout the indoor season, reaching as high as No. 2. The season concluded with the Red Raiders scoring 29 points (fifth place), coming away with one national champion and two runner-ups.
On the women's side, TTU placed fourth at the Big 12 meet with Roswell and Fosther-Katta walking away as Big 12 champions. The women's team stayed inside the top-15 rankings all season, peaking as high as No. 10.
Jones raced the 60m four times this season and left Albuquerque a national champion. His winning sprint of 6.46 equaled the second-fastest mark in collegiate history as he now owns four of the nine fastest times on the all-time collegiate list.
Bradford set each top-10 mark in the pole vault for Texas Tech in less than two months. He finished second at the NCAA meet with a lifetime best 5.91m (19-4 ¾) and was the first Red Raider to break the 19-foot barrier mark back in February.
Glavash coached Jones to the 60m title and helped the Bahamas native register three top-10 times in collegiate history. His athletes also contributed to the Tech's men 87 of 159 points scored to win the Big 12 title.
Roswell carried over her conference success and capped off the indoor season as a First Team All-American in the 60m hurdles. She placed fifth with a time of 8.00 and set a PB the night before going 7.92 in the prelims. Roswell ran 8.00 or faster four times this season.
Fosther-Katta won the triple jump at the Big 12 meet and eventually finished fifth in that event at the NCAA Indoor Championships earning First Team All-American honors. She set a PB with a mark of 14.20m (46-7¼).
