Lady Raiders Open Big 12 Championships Thursday

Tech eanred the No. 8 seed; will face K-St at 5 p.m.
LUBBOCK, Texas – After finishing the regular season 18-13 overall, the Texas Tech Lady Raiders have earned the No. 8 seed in the Phillips 66 Big 12 Conference Women's Basketball Championships and will begin the event by facing No. 9 seed Kansas State Thursday afternoon at 5 p.m. at Municipal Auditorium.
The winner of the Tech-K-State matchup will advance to Friday's Quarterfinals where top-seeded Texas awaits. Friday's matchup is set for a 1:30 p.m. (CT) tip and will be televised on both ESPNU and ESPN+.
Thursday's Opening Round matchup will be streamed live on ESPN+.
The Longhorns and Oklahoma each grabbed a share of the regular season title, but Texas earned the No. 1 seed for the Big 12 Championship by virtue of sweeping the two regular season matchups.
No. 2 OU will get the winner of No. 7 Kansas and No. 10 TCU at 5 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
Iowa State earned the No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 Baylor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The fourth and final quarterfinal pits No. 4 Oklahoma State and No. 5 West Virginia. That game will be played live on ESPN, Friday at 11 a.m.
The two semifinals will take place next Saturday (Mar. 11) at Noon and 2:30 p.m. (CT) with the finals set for 1 p.m. one week from Sunday (Mar. 12) at 1 p.m. live on ESPN2.
Tech swept the season series with the Wildcats, winning 85-65 in Manhattan before winning 78-68 in Lubbock.
