Big 12 announces WBB schedule matrix

The Lady Raiders 18-game conference slate will be highlighted by home-and-home matchups with Texas and Oklahoma State
IRVING, Texas – Ahead of the 2023-24 season that will feature 14 Big 12 Conference members after the additions of BYU, Cincinnati, Houston and UCF, the Big 12 Conference has announced the 18-game women's basketball scheduling matrix for the 23-24 season.
After spending the last nearly decade playing each of the other nine Big 12 Conference members both home-and-away, the Lady Raiders will instead play just five team home-and-away in 23-24: Cincinnati, Houston, Oklahoma State, TCU and Texas.
Also released Thursday were the eight Big 12 programs that the Lady Raiders will play just once. The home Big 12 schedule is highlighted by dates with new Big 12 foe UCF, Iowa State, 2023 WNIT champion Kansas as well as Ayoka Lee and the Kansas State Wildcats.
Coach Krista Gerlich's squad won't host Baylor for the first time since the 1981-82 season, as the Bears highlight Tech's four-team road-only slate that also includes trips to BYU, Oklahoma and West Virginia.
The 2023-24 Lady Raider opponents were selected based on a combination of geography, historical results and a poll of the coaches to best balance the schedule in terms of travel and competitive balance. A full Big 12 schedule will be released at a later date.
