It is a 108-player field comprised of the top male amateurs in Latin America representing the 29 International Olympic Committee-recognized countries and territories from the region that are current members of the International Golf Federation.
Â
Marzilio will represent his home country of Argentina. Each of the 29 countries is automatically provided with two positions that are filled by the best-ranked players from the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR). The Red Raider senior is currently the No. 1 ranked player hailing from Argentina and ranked No. 198 in the world. Overall, eight players will represent what is the second-largest country in South America after Brazil.
