Macy Blackburn Named CSC All-American

LUBBOCK, Texas – Fresh off being named the Big 12's Defender of the Year and a First Team United Soccer Coaches First Team All-American, Macy Blackburn was named a Second Team All-American by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Wednesday.

The honor for Blackburn is her second All-America honor this cycle and the her third career honor. Blackburn was previously tabbed a Third Team All-American in 2023 before earning First Team honors this season.

Blackburn's recognition continues a big December for the Texan, as the outside back was named to the 18-person Hermann Award Semifinalist list.

The all-time leader in assists in program history and the only player in program history with multiple double-digit assist seasons, Blackburn was an unanimous All-Big 12 First Team selection after being named the Big 12s Defender of the year. The First Team All-Big 12 selection for Blackburn marks the second-straight season the defender has taken home First Team All-Conference honors.

This season Blackburn scored twice and had 10 assists in 19 games played and 18 starts.
