Texas Tech senior running back received a 92 overall rating Wednesday as part of EA Sports’ top-100 list
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech senior running back Tahj Brooks received a 92 overall rating by EA Sports on Wednesday as part of the gaming franchise's unveiling of its top-100 players in this summer's return edition.
Brooks ranked 36th overall on EA Sports' top-100 list that was unveiled Wednesday in anticipation of its debut in just over a week. Brooks was sixth overall among running backs on the list, trailing only Oklahoma State's Ollie Gordon II (overall 96), the Ohio State duo of Quinshon Judkins (overall 95) and Treveyon Henderson (overall 93) as well as North Carolina's Omarion Hampton (overall 93) and Cal's Jaydn Ott (overall 93).
Brooks wrapped the 2023 season as the nation's fourth-leading rusher after totaling 1,538 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground. He became only the fifth Red Raider in program history and the first to do so since Ricky Williams in 1998 to rush for 1,500 yards in a season en route to earning All-Big 12 first team honors.
EA Sports will release College Football 25 on July 19, returning the popular game to Playstation and Xbox platforms. Brooks was able to play the game for the first time earlier Tuesday as EA Sports was on hand at Big 12 Media Days in Las Vegas, showcasing the game to many of the participating players.
