Men's golf program reveals 2024-25 schedule

LUBBOCK, Texas — Texas Tech men's golf head coach Greg Sands revealed the program's 2024-25 schedule on Thursday, which will be led by the Inverness Intercollegiate on Sept. 9-10, the first of four events in the fall.
The Red Raiders, who finished their 2023-24 campaign ranked as the No. 14 team in the nation, will have seven regular-season tournaments in the spring before championship season begins. Texas Tech will travel to prominent golf destinations to kick off its spring campaign such as Hawai'i, California and Florida, as well as an event at Forest Hills Golf Course in Augusta, Ga., a mere five miles from Augusta National Golf Club, one weekend prior to The Masters.
The Big 12 Championships, April 22-24, will be hosted at Southern Hills Golf Club in Tulsa, Okla., its first appearance at Southern Hills GC since 2018. Per usual, the NCAA Regionals will be held at six different sites, in 2025, the sites include Amherst, Va. (Poplar Grove Golf Course), Bremerton, Wash. (Gold Mountain Golf Club), Fayetteville, Ark. (The Blessings Golf Club), Reno, Nev. (Montreux Golf and Country Club), Stillwater, Okla. (Karsten Creek Golf Club) and Tallahassee, Fla. (Seminole Legacy Golf Club). All six sites will host postseason competition from May 12-14, which will qualify 30 teams for the NCAA Championships at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. for the second year in a row.
Texas Tech will seek to make a second-straight trip to Carlsbad, and a fifth-straight trip to the NCAA Championship overall, May 23-28. The Red Raiders were led by then-junior Calum Scott, at last year's championship, finishing tied for 11th overall in the individual competition. Scott will be an anchor again for the Red Raiders, this time as a senior, having also recently been ranked by PGA TOUR U as its No. 4 golfer entering the 2024-25 season.
