LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech Athletics will recognize its energy partners Saturday afternoon when the Red Raiders host Arizona State in the inaugural Raider Power game inside Jones AT&T Stadium.
Much like its popular chant, Texas Tech will split the stadium in half, encouraging the west side to wear black and the east side to wear red as part of the Raider Power promotion. A full stadium map with the appropriate color designation can be found below.
The Raider Power promotion is part of Texas Tech's continued partnership with many of the area's leading energy companies, including Double Eagle, Agri-Empresa Companies, Halliburton, Mewbourne Oil Company, ProPetro Services and the Texas Oil and Gas Association Workers' Comp. Safety Group. Each group will be honored during the game for its contributions to Texas Tech Athletics.Â
"West Texas and the Permian Basin are home to so many of the world's most-important resources, namely in the oil and gas and energy industries," Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt said. "We look forward to recognizing many of our partners in the energy industry Saturday for their continued partnership with Texas Tech Athletics and their work supplying the world."
Kickoff between Texas Tech and Arizona State is slated for 2:30 p.m. Saturday inside Jones AT&T Stadium. Texas Tech still has limited tickets remaining as fans can lock in their seats by purchasing online or by calling the Athletic Ticket Office at 806-742-TECH during normal business hours.
