On Monday, the Red Raiders found themselves ranked at No. 13 overall while the United Soccer Coaches poll had Tech at No. 18.
2: While putting the ball in the back of the net is the name of the game, scoring twice has been critical for the Red Raiders success as since the start of the 2022 season, the Red Raiders are now 41-0-1 (lone tie at No. 7 BYU in 2023) when scoring two goals. When you expand that mark out to the beginning of the 2021 season, Tech is 50-2-1 when scoring twice in a match.
7: When Texas Tech defeated Iowa State Sunday afternoon in Ames The Red Raiders won their seventh-straight Big 12 road match. The Red Raiders won their last five Big 12 road matches to close the 2024 season and defeated Baylor in Waco. The Red Raiders have allowed just one goal on the road over that stretch, outscoring opponents, 12-1.
QUICK KICKS:
• Back inside the top-25 after a convincing 2-0 win at Iowa State, No. 18/13 Texas Tech returns home to begin the longest homestand (three-matches) of the 2025 season when they welcome Oklahoma State on Thursday.
• Winners of back-to-back matches and unbeaten in the last five matches against the Cowgirls, the Red Raiders will look to defeat OSU for the third-straight season for the first time since 1996-98.
• Anchored by a clutch PK on Thursday night and a helper on Sunday from Macy Blackburn, the Red Raiders improved to 50-2-1 over their last 53 matches when scoring twice and to 41-0-1 when reaching two goals since the 2022 season.
• The three-point week for Blackburn moved her past Texas Tech Hall of Famer Taylor Lytle for ninth on the all-time Texas Tech point list. Blackburn enters the weekend just one point behind Brittany Harrison (57) for eighth all-time on points list and just three points behind Jessica Fuston (59) for seventh on said list.
• The assist on Sunday, Blackburn's 42nd of her career, marked the 32nd time that the Red Raider outside back recorded an assist in a match. The Red Raiders are now 30-1-1 in those 32 contests.
• With the 2-0 win on Sunday afternoon in Ames, the Red Raiders not only won their seventh straight Big 12 road contest outright, they also recorded their fifth-straight road clean sheet dating back to a 2-1 win at Kansas State in Big 12 play.
• In fact in her seven career Big 12 road  matches, Nguyen has allowed just one goal, the strike by Kansas State. Despite conceding a goal last week to Houston, Nguyen continued a strong stretch of action between the goal, as the keeper since allowing a pair of goals against San Francisco has now recorded four clean sheets and allowed just two goals over the last six matches.
• After a drought of scoring from the "run-of-play" that last three matches, the Red Raiders scored a pair of non-set piece goals in Sunday's 2-0 win beginning with Sam Courtwright's goal :21 seconds in and continuing with Peyton Parsons header in the 17th minute. The Red Raiders goal in the first minute marked the first time since Sept. 4 at New Mexico State that the Red Raiders scored in the run-of-play.
• The Red Raiders also scored within the first 25 seconds of a match for the first time since the win over Santa Clara, when Peyton Parsons scored just 19 seconds in. The goal by Parsons against SCU was the fastest goal since Brittney Harrison scored 12 seconds into a win over Alabama A&M.
