Big 12 announces softball schedule for 2026 season

Tech looks to defend its Big 12 Title this season
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Big 12 Conference announced its schedule for the 2026 softball season on Thursday afternoon.The Red Raiders will look to defend their first-ever Big 12 title from last season with a slate of eight three-game series.
Each team is scheduled to play 24 conference games beginning on March 5 as the Big 12 Tournament presented by Allstate will begin on May 7 at OGE Energy Field at Devon Park. The Big 12 Tournament will feature eight teams this season, a change from previous years, with the championship game getting played on May 9.
Tech will open up Big 12 play with a road series against Houston March 6-8 before coming home to host the second-place team in the conference from last season Arizona March 13-15.
The Red Raiders will then make the trip down to Orlando to face UCF on March 20-22 before hosting Iowa State March 27-29 and BYU April 2-4. Tech then has back-to-back road trips against Utah April 10-12 and Arizona State April 24-26 before ending the Big 12 season at home against Baylor May 1-3.
