Red Raiders in the NFL | Regular Season Week 5, Oct. 2-6
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech had eight former players see the field during week five of the NFL season, ending with Patrick Mahomes II and the Chiefs on Monday Night Football. Despite Mahomes orchestrating a 12-play, 86-yard drive to take a four-point lead, 28-24, with 1:45 left in the game, Kansas City fell to Jacksonville in the waning moments.

ARIZONA CARDINALSÂ vs. Tennessee Titans (L, 22-21)
S Dadrion Taylor-Demerson (2019-23): Taylor-Demerson came away with four solo tackles, two pass breakups, including his second career interception in the narrow defeat to the Titans.
RB Tahj Brooks (2020-24):Â Brooks registered 12 snaps on special teams.Â
OL Terence Steele (2016-19):Â Steele played each snap in the win over the Jets as the Cowboys rushed for a season-high 180 yards Sunday afternoon.
QB Patrick Mahomes II (2014-16): Mahomes orchestrated a 12-play, 86-yard drive to take a four-point lead (28-24) with 1:45 left in the game. Jacksonville answered with a seven-play, 60-yard drive with Trevor Lawrence scrambling into the endzone, taking a 31-28 lead. The Chiefs got the ball back with 16 seconds, running only five plays. Mahomes led the Chiefs in rushing for a third game this year.
DE Tyree Wilson (2020-22): Wilson recorded one tackle as he played 22 defensive snaps.
LB Jordyn Brooks (2016-19):Â Brooks registered a game-high 13 tackles (4 solo) to go along with half a sack. Brooks has been the overall leading tackler in three of five games this season, as he leads the NFL currently with 57 stops.
P Austin McNamara (2020-23): McNamara punted the ball four times for 176 yards – a net average of 42.0 yards, pinning one inside the 20 and a long of 58 yards.
DB Tyler Owens (2022-23): Owens played 78 percent of the special teams snaps, assisting on a tackle. He did not see any time on the defensive side of the ball.
