Texas Tech will make its first-ever appearance in the Big 12 title game next Saturday versus BYU
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech has officially secured its spot in the Edward Jones Big 12 Championship for the first time in program history, setting up a rematch between the No. 5 Red Raiders and BYU next Saturday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
The Red Raiders (11-1; 8-1) clinched their first-ever appearance in the Big 12 title game with Arizona's rivalry win over Arizona State on Friday night in Tempe. The loss eliminated the Sun Devils from Big 12 contention and sealed Texas Tech's plans for next weekend with the Red Raiders holding the tiebreaker via head-to-head wins over BYU and Utah. Texas Tech helped its own cause with a 49-0Â victory over West Virginia on Saturday.
Texas Tech will be the home team for the Big 12 title game, placing the Red Raiders on the south sideline. Fans looking to purchase tickets are encouraged to do so via SeatGeek, the official secondary ticket provider for Texas Tech Athletics. Due to significant demand, Texas Tech has already filled its allotment of more than 9,000 tickets through presales to Red Raider Club members and season ticket holders.
Texas Tech has held a portion of its ticket allotment for its student body. Texas Tech will give priority access to students who swiped their ID for the UCF beginning at 7 a.m. Tuesday morning followed by all other students who have paid their 2025 fall athletic fee at 7 a.m. Wednesday. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last with a maximum of one ticket per student.
Students should go to texastech.com/tickets and click on "Student Tickets" for access. All tickets will be sold online and delivered via mobile only. Students must use a valid ttu.edu email address when activating a student account on TexasTech.com.
The Big 12 Championship will have an 11 a.m. kick next Saturday with coverage provided on ABC and the Texas Tech Sports Network.
