Snow named Big 12 Athlete of the Week

The sophomore earns his first career weekly Big 12 honor

LUBBOCK, Texas – Sophomore sprinter/hurdler Malachi Snow was named the Big 12 Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon.

Snow set personal best marks in the 60m sprint and 60m hurdles last Friday night. He broke the school record in the 60m hurdles going 7.46 – first Red Raider in program history to dip under 7.50 – as he finished second only to adidas pro Trey Cunningham (7.45). In the 60m sprint, he finished first clocking in at 6.53.

The Cincinnati native currently holds the NCAAs top time in the 60m hurdles and is sixth when it comes to the 60m.
