Red Raiders claim multiple regional awards

Wes Kittley was named the men’s and women’s Mountain Region Coach of the Year
NEW ORLEANS – The Texas Tech track and field teamed collected four USTFCCCA regional awards, the organization announced Thursday afternoon.
Wes Kittley was named the Men's and Women's Mountain Region Coach of the Year, Malachi Snow was dubbed the Men's Mountain Region Track Athlete of the Year, while Temitope Adeshina earned the Women's Mountain Region Field Athlete of the Year.
Kittley led the Tech men's and women's team to a pair of Big 12 Championships as the women's side earned their first Big 12 track and field title in program history, winning the meet by 41.5. points. Meanwhile, the men's team won their third-straight Big 12 indoor title by 41 points. At the conclusion of the NCAA indoor meet, the men finished eighth as the women finished 10th. The 21.5 points scored by the women at the NCAA meet was the most in program history.
Temitope, the 2025 NCAA indoor high jump champion, cleared 1.94m (6-4.25) to earn her first NCAA title. She ranked as high as No. 4 during the regular season in the event at 1.93m (6-4) and was the Big 12 Champion in the event at 1.90m (6-2.75). This indoor season she became the sole owner of Tech's 1-10 all-time high jump marks, never losing a high jump competition.
Snow was the Big 12 champion in the 60m hurdles (7.52 =MR) and the only Division I male athlete to qualify for nationals in the 60m/60mH, finishing 3rd at nationals in the 60mH and seventh in the 60m. He became the first Red Raider to dip under 7.50 in the 60mH (7.46, school record holder) and was ranked as high as No. 2 during the regular season in the 60mH and No. 10 in the 60m. Snow never finished outside the top-4 in any 60m hurdles race this season, claiming five wins.
