Bresnu, Graham, Wiedemeyer tabbed to Hogan watch list
January 28, 2026 | Men's Golf
LUBBOCK, Texas — Texas Tech's Adam Bresnu, Connor Graham and Tim Wiedemeyer were each named to the 2026 Ben Hogan Award Watch List on Wednesday, as announced by the organization. The Ben Hogan Award has honored the most outstanding amateur collegiate golfer since 2002.
Thirty-five of the nation's most accomplished players across college golf were named to the 2026 watch list. Six schools have multiple golfers on the watch list, led by Arizona State (3), Oklahoma State (3), Texas (3) and Texas Tech (3).
The same Red Raider trio was named to the final fall watch list for the 2025-2026 Haskins Award on Nov. 11, which annually recognizes the most outstanding NCAA Division I male college golfer. That list consisted of 25 golfers, with Texas Tech being the only college golf program to feature three individuals.
Later this year, 10 semifinalists for the Hogan award, which could include individuals not on today's watch list, will be unveiled on Thursday, April 16. That group will be pared down to three finalists on Tuesday, May 12. The finalists will attend a black-tie dinner on Memorial Day (Monday, May 25) at the TCU Legends Club in Fort Worth, Texas, where the winner will be crowned.
Past recipients of the Hogan award include former Red Raider Ludvig Aberg (2022, 2023), who currently holds a Top 20 ranking in the Official World Golf Rankings heading into 2026.
The Red Raiders' spring season begins Thursday, Feb. 5, at the Amer Ari Invitational in Hawai'i. It's a three-day event with 18 holes played per day.
The Texas Tech trio is ranked No. 6 (Graham), No. 10 (Bresnu), and No. 22 (Wiedemeyer) in the latest Clippd by Scoreboard heading into the spring season.
