The honor is the second of his career
IRVING, Texas – Junior hurdler Malachi Snow was named the Big 12 Conference Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon.
Snow made his 2026 debut running in the 60m hurdles last weekend. In the prelims, he boasted a time of 7.58 before going 7.55 in the finals. His time, when adjusted to altitude by the NCAA and TFRRS of 7.57, puts him No. 3 in the country. When it comes to the World Athletics rankings, Snow is No. 9.
The weekly indoor honor is the second of his career and first since last February. Snow is the third Red Raider to receive the award this season as Temitope Adeshina and Jonathan Seremes took home the weekly accolades last week.
