Tech to Hold Free Clinic for Girls and Women in Sports Day
Jan. 29, 2001 LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech Athletics has teamed up with the Department of Recreational Sports and Physical Education to sponsor Girls and Women in Sports Day on Feb. 3. This is a nationwide event to help promote fitness and sports for women of all ages. The free clinic for kindergarten to sixth grade girls and mothers/guardians will be held Feb. 3 from 9 a.m.-Noon at the Texas Tech Recreation Center. The clinic will incorporate events ranging from soccer, volleyball, fitness, cheerleading and more. Participants will receive two free tickets to the Texas Tech Lady Raider basketball game against Texas A&M, Feb. 3 at 7 p.m., a free t-shirt and goodie bag, while meeting Texas Tech athletes.
