FRESHMAN SEASON (2016)
Appeared in two games out of the bullpen for the Red Raiders in his final season at Tech … pitched in 2.0 innings total and allowed two runs on two hits, walking three and striking out one … only allowed a hit and two walks against Arkansas on Feb. 28 … also pitched on the road at California on March 11.
ABILENE COOPER HIGH SCHOOL
Three-year letterwinner for head coach David Cedillo at Abilene Cooper High School ... helped lead Cooper to the Class 5A playoffs his senior season ... two time first team All-District selection (2013 & 2015) ... earned first team All-District as a designated hitter his sophomore season ... collected honor again as a pitcher his senior season ... went 3-2 with a 2.93 ERA as a junior (2014) ... also collected a save while striking out 44 in 41.2 innings ... followed up by going 4-6 as a senior with a 2.41 ERA ... fanned 71 batters over 39 innings pitched ... played with the Fort Worth Cats summer organization ... compiled a 6-1 record and a 0.85 ERA during the summer of 2014 with the Cats ... also recorded 65 strikeouts in 39.2 innings ... received several football Division-I scholarship offers as an offensive lineman.
