LUBBOCK, Texas - Preparations for Saturday?s Big 12 Conference matchup against Baylor in Waco took a step closer to conclusion with an energetic practice Thursday afternoon at Jones Stadium.
Texas Tech (3-3, 2-1) worked for just under two hours in shoulder pads and helmets, polishing the game plan and working against Baylor (1-5, 0-3) schemes. The workout ended with extended work on all phases of the kicking game, which is the normal conclusion to a Thursday practice.
?This was a good Thursday,? Red Raider head coach Spike Dykes said. ?We put the finishing touches on our game plan and had a good week. Everybody?s ready to play. We?re excited about the game, because Baylor is a good rival for us.?
The Red Raiders will hold a brief walk-through Friday at Jones Stadium before total focus turns to Saturday?s 6 p.m. kickoff. The team will board a chartered flight to Waco following workouts.
There will be no television for the Tech-Baylor game, but Red Raider fans can listen to the game on their local All Sports Radio Network affiliate or via Internet at www.texstech.com.
