LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech began to slowly put the finishing touches on this week?s game plan Thursday afternoon as the Red Raiders continue to prepare for Saturday?s Big 12 matchup at Missouri.
?We had a good practice, but nothing spectacular,? Texas Tech head coach Spike Dykes said. ?The hay is in the barn. I think we?re in good shape, we had a good week of workouts with good intensity and good concentration.
?This is a big game and we understand the significance of it,? Dykes added. ?We?ve done all we can do, now we just have to go play the game.?
Texas Tech (4-3, 3-1) practiced for just less than two hours on the artificial turf at Jones Stadium. Tech focused on Missouri?s offensive and defensive schemes during the first three-quarters of practice before focusing on the kicking game.
The Red Raiders will board a charter early tomorrow afternoon to Columbia, Mo., and will hold a light workout at Faurot Field to finalize Saturday?s game plan.
Kickoff for Saturday?s game is set for 1 p.m. at Faurot Field on the Missouri campus. There will be no television for the game, but the game can be heard on the All Sports Radio Network and on the Internet at www.texastech.com.
The Red Raiders are fresh off of a 35-7 win on the road at Baylor, while Missouri (3-4, 0-4) is coming off of a 21-0 defeat at Kansas.
