LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head football coach Spike Dykes said that while Tuesday?s practice was an improvement from the day before, the Red Raiders still have a way to go before Oklahoma visits Jones Stadium Saturday.
?Practice was okay, a little better,? Dykes said following a 90-minute practice Tuesday afternoon. ?We had better recognition than yesterday (Monday).
?We still have a long way to go and a lot of reps we need to get in before Saturday,? Dykes said. ?We have a full day at the office at tomorrow?s practice.?
Texas Tech and Oklahoma play in what is the last game of the regular season for the Red Raiders and the final game at Jones Stadium for 21 Tech seniors.
Texas Tech is 5-5 overall and in need of a victory to become bowl eligible for the seventh consecutive year. Oklahoma comes in with a 6-3 record.
Kickoff is set for 11:38 a.m. FOX Sports will televise the game to a regionally syndicated television audience.
