Men's Tennis Competes at ITA All American Tournament

AUSTIN, Texas - Petar Danolic (Sarajevo Bosnia-Herz.), Carey Bjorkman (Ventura, Calif.) and Ryan Shupe (Greensboro, N.C.) competed in the pre-qualifying rounds of the ITA-All American tournament on Saturday. The tournament is part of the men's team fall season of tournament play.

Shupe led the way for the men advancing to the second round after defeating Dan Bennett of Depaul in straight sets 6-1, 6-1. However, he fell to Gajdzik Pawel of DePaul in his second match of the day 6-4, 6-2.

Both Bjorkman and Shupe lost in their first round matchups. Bjorkman lost to Xavier Luscan of UCLA 6-1, 6-2. Danolic fell to Jerad Harbaugh of Colorado in three sets 6-4, 2-6, 6-4.

Members of the men's team will travel to Arlington, Texas next weekend to compete in the Arlington Invitational.
