Pinkney Resigns as Assistant Coach

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech University head men's basketball coach James Dickey announced today that Greg Pinkney has resigned as assistant basketball coach to pursue a career in private business and spend more time with his family. Pinkney has been an assistant on the Red Raider coaching staff for the past seven seasons.
"I appreciate what Greg has done for our program and University," Dickey said. "I wish him much success in is future endeavors."
Pinkney came to Texas Tech prior to the start of the 1992-93 season after serving assistant coaching stints at Chipola Junior College, West Texas State and Howard College. Pinkney got his start as a graduate assistant at Wayland Baptist during the 1987 season, following a playing career at Clarendon College and Wayland Baptist.
