November 01, 2024 | Men's Basketball
LUBBOCK – The 100th season of Texas Tech Basketball is underway with 18 home games set to be played at United Supermarkets Arena. Below is a listing of enhancements and changes fans can expect this season.
S-1 LOT AVAILABLE FOR FREE
After further evaluation, Texas Tech will delay the previously announced plan for paid parking in the S-1 lot for men's basketball games until next season. The S-1 lot is located at the corner of 10th Street and Texas Tech Parkway and remains open and free for home basketball games with buses running approximately 75 minutes prior to tip and will end service approximately 45 minutes after the game is over. With the changing landscape of college athletics, Texas Tech will continue assessing options for meeting the revenue demands of maintaining the most competitive and highest quality student athlete experience, while also valuing the impact those decisions have on our loyal fans.Â
"TAP AND GO" MOBILE TICKET SYSTEM TO SPEED UP ARENA ENTRY |Â DIGITAL TICKETING INFO
Texas Tech will introduce a new "tap and go" mobile ticketing system this season to assist fans with quicker entry each gameday. All basketball tickets, including premium areas, will remain 100 percent mobile only but will not utilize a QR code for scanning moving forward. Instead, fans will place their downloaded mobile ticket near ticket scanners that will identify each mobile ticket wirelessly. Fans with multiple tickets will need to swipe horizontally to each ticket and tap it near the scanner for entry.
Most importantly, Texas Tech will no longer accept screenshots of mobile tickets in order to further protect ticket holders from scams or counterfeit purchases. Fans needing to transfer their tickets can do so online via their TexasTech.com account or by utilizing the official Texas Tech mobile app.
SINGLE-GAME TICKETS REMAIN ON SALE
Fans still have time to lock in their seats this season as single-game tickets are still on sale through the Athletic Ticket Office. Tickets can be purchased online at TexasTech.com or by speaking to a ticket sales representative at 806-742-TECH.
UNITED SUPERMARKETS ARENA REMAINS FULLY CASHLESS
The USA is a fully cashless venue at all points of sale, including with the Texas Tech Ticket Office, all concession stands and with Red Raider Outfitter, the gameday retailer of Texas Tech Athletics. All points of sale will accept credit and debit cards as well as contactless payment methods.
CLEAR BAG POLICY REMAINS IN PLACE AT ALL ATHLETIC VENUES
Texas Tech's clear bag policy will remain in effect for all athletic venues during the 2024-25 athletic year. Fans will be able to bring the following style and size bag or package into the venue:
