Raiders Prepare for Five Matches Saturday

March 6,1998 Texas Tech volleyball to host 6-team weekend spring invitational Red Raiders to play five matches on Saturday vs. Lubbock Christian, Wayland Baptist, TCU and Texas Tech Alumni Team
LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech volleyball team will host a six-team volleyball invitational all day Saturday at the Athletic Training Center and Women's Gym. Teams competing in the one-day tournament will be TCU, Lubbock Christian University, Wayland Baptist University, West Texas A&M and the Texas Tech Exes- a team comprised of former Red Raider volleyball players.
The one-day spring tournament will be conducted on a round-robin basis as each team will play each of the other teams during the day. The tournament will also feature a different scoring format with two rally score games up to 30 points. If the score is tied at 1-1, the third game will be rally score up to 11 points.
The Texas Tech Exes Team will be comprised of former Red Raider volleyball players Ginger Carter, Erika Ruegg, Lacy Nye, Texas Tech assistant coach Nancy Todd along with 1997 seniors Brande Brown and Cristine Martin.
