Softball Stadium Groundbreaking Ceremony to be Held on Friday

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech University will break ground for a new women's softball complex at a 3:30 p.m. groundbreaking ceremony Friday (Jan. 29). The ceremony will take place at the corner of Flint Avenue and the Drive of Champions (west of the Coliseum, on the southwest corner of the intersection).

Athletic Director Gerald Myers, Associate Athletic Director Judi Henry and softball coach Renee Gillispie will make comments. Congressman Larry Combest and Mayor Windy Sitton also will be on hand for the event. The public is invited to attend.
