Tech Softball Travels to Arizona

The Texas Tech Red Raider softball team will travel to Tucson, Arizona this weekend for the Hillenbrand Invitational Tournament on the campus of the University of Arizona.

The team went 4-2 last weekend in the Troy Cox Classic and was led by senior shortstop Paula Workman. Workman recorded two home runs, eight hits, ten RBI's, and four runs on 20 at-bats. and was named to the all-tournament team at shortstop. Workman currently leads the team in hits (21) and RBI's (20).

Tech will open against conference rival Kansas (8-3) on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. and will face Notre Dame (7-2) at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, Tech will take on LSU (9-3) and will battle #2 ranked Arizona (18-1) at 5:00 p.m. The Red Raiders will begin tournament bracket play on Sunday.
