Texas Tech Baseball Alumni Game Cancelled

LUBBOCK, Texas - Due to inclement weather in the Lubbock area, the Texas Tech Alumni baseball game for Saturday has been cancelled, Texas Tech baseball coach Larry Hays announced early this morning.

"We had to make an announcement early this morning because we had a lot of our alumni guys coming in from faraway places," Hays said. "We wanted to make a decision before most of them left for the weekend."

The alumni game will not be made up.

Texas Tech will open the 1999 season at Dan Law Field for a four-game series against Howard next weekend (Feb. 5-7). Game times are 3 p.m. on Friday, doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
