Texas Tech Men's Tennis to Face Oklahoma

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team will host Oklahoma University on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Athletic Training Center on the Texas Tech campus. The Red Raiders come into this weekend's match with a record of 8-4 . They are ranked No. 49 in the nation in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association men's tennis team rankings. The team jumped forward 21 spots from their previous ranking of No. 71; the biggest move by any team in the poll.
Oklahoma enters the match ranked No. 39 and has a record of 7-8. The Sooners won their last match on March 10 against Wichita Sate by the score of 6-1.
"This weekend's match is very big for our team," Director Tennis Tim Siegel said. "It is important for our Big 12 standings and national rankings. Despite some nagging injuries, our team has been playing well. I hope our fans will take the chance to come out and watch us play against a quality opponent like Oklahoma."
