Texas Tech Volleyball Earns No. 24 Ranking

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech volleyball team was ranked No. 24 in the AVCA/USA Today coaches poll, released earlier today. Texas Tech earned 106 votes from coaches around the nation and appeared on the poll after not being ranked in last weeks poll. The Red Raiders defeated No. 19 Texas A&M 3-1 before a Fox Sports Net national television audience to help their cause.
The No. 24 ranking was Texas Techs highest of the season. The Red Raiders were last ranked No. 25 on September 22, 1998 when the team received 58 points.
Texas Tech returns home to host Oklahoma on Friday (7 p.m.) and Kansas on Saturday (7 p.m.). Both matches will be held in Lubbocks Municipal Coliseum.
