Women's Tennis Falls To UTEP

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech womens tennis team fell to the University of Texas-El Paso by a score of 6-3 on Thursday at the ATC. It is the third consecutive loss of the season for the Red Raiders dropping their record to 1-3 overall (0-1 in the Big 12).
UTEP won four of six singles matches and took two of three doubles contests in recording the victory.
Sophomore Alenka Ovin won her third singles match of the year with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 victory over Jana Perkova. This was Ovins first match playing at #2 singles after playing all her previous matches at #3 singles.
The Red Raiders will be in action again on Friday, February 12 at 1:30 pm against New Mexico State University. The match will be indoors at the The Nautilus Golf Club. Admission is free.
