Football News Announces Preseason Team

LUBBOCK, Texas - Football News announced its Preseason Big 12 All-Conference Team today, naming Texas Tech's Ricky Williams and Curtis Lowery to the squad.
Williams, a preseason Heisman Trophy candidate, was one of two running backs named to the team. In just two seasons, Williams has established himself as one of the nation's top running backs. He is sixth on the school's all-time rushing list with 2,476 yards in two seasons. The junior from Duncanville, Texas, rushed for 1,582 yards last season and finished fourth in the nation with 144 yards per game.
Lowery, a native of Stephenville, Texas, started in nine games for the Red Raiders last season and was named First-Team All-Big 12 by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. He also earned Second-Team All-Big 12 honors from the league's coaches, the Dallas Morning News, the Houston Chronicle and the Associated Press.
