Sophomore tailback Ricky Williams (Duncanville, Texas) continued to move up the Texas Tech single season and career rushing charts despite missing most of the game due to a second quarter ankle sprain. After being out-rushed by teammate Rickey Hunter 121-53, today marked the first time in his career he did not lead or tie for the lead on the team in rushing in a single game:
Passed Byron Morris (1,279 in 1992) for 7th on the single-season rushing list with 1,315 yards;
Moved into 2nd-place on the single-season list for carries with 249;
Passed Doug McCutchen (2,222 from 1970-72) on the career rushing charts. He now has 2,223 yards in his career;
Moved into 7th on the career tandem yards list with 1,429 yards (1,315 rush, 114 receiving).
Senior receiver Donnie Hart (Wolfforth, Texas) also continued to move up Texas Tech's receiving charts despite missing most of the second half due to ankle and knee injuries.
Single-Season Receiving Yards: Passed Wayne Walker (717, 1986), Tyrone Thurman (726, 1988) and Larry Gilbert (767, 1966) to move into fifth place. He has 40 catches for 777 yards on the season;
Career Receiving Yards: Remained in second on the Texas Tech career list with 2,117 yards;

Sophomore tailback Rickey Hunter (Duncanville, Texas) rushed for a career-high 121 yards. His previous high was 60 yards against Southwestern Louisiana in 1997. He also rushed a career-high 25 times in the game after replacing injured starter Ricky Williams in the second quarter...
Receiver Tim Baker (Borger, Texas) set a career high with 3 receptions against Missouri... Senior Robby Cartwright (Boyd, Texas) saw his first action of the season after missing the first eight games due to an NCAA suspension... Junior tight end Kyle Allamon (Lubbock, Texas) caught his first two TDs of the season and the second and third of his career. His three receptions was also a career-high..
Missouri's defense scored for the third-straight game (2 fumble returns, 1 interception return) with a 17-yard return of a Rob Peters fumble in the second quarter. MU has scored 10 defensive TDs under Larry Smith... Missouri's Harold Piersey's (Kansas City, Kan.) blocked punt was MU's 4th blocked kick this season (3 punts, 1 FG) and the 20th blocked kick since Larry Smith became the Tigers' coach in 1994... Missouri has scored 78 points off of turnovers this season while its opponents have scored just 13... In the second quarter this season, Missouri has outscored its opponents 110-24.
Missouri running back Devin West (Moberly, Mo.) became the first back to surpass 100 yards against Texas Tech since D'Andre Hardeman of Texas A&M rushed for 103 in 1997, snapping a 12-game streak... He also became the first player to rush for three TDs against Texas Tech since Texas A&M quarterback Bucky Richardson accomplished the feat on Oct. 5, 1991... West moved into second on the Missouri career rushing list with 2,632 yards. He has surpassed 100 yards in six of Missouri's last nine games.
