Partridge Named Media Relations Director

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech University Director of Athletics Gerald Myers today named Kent Partridge as the school's athletic media relations director. Partridge comes to Texas Tech after serving as the Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations at Auburn University.
"We are extremely excited about Kent joining us at Texas Tech," Myers said. "We feel that Kent will be an outstanding addition to our staff and we look forward to working with him."
A 1983 graduate of the University of West Alabama, Partridge served the past six seasons as assistant athletic director at Auburn and handled media relations responsibilities for Auburn's nationally-prominent football program. He worked as Auburn's assistant sports information director from 1990-94 with an emphasis on football, baseball and publications. Many of his publications have won national awards. Partridge began his career at the University of Montevallo in 1984 and served the school as its sports information director for three years. He was named the SID at Samford University in 1987, before moving on to Auburn in 1989.
