Red Raider Club to Kickoff 1999 Football Season

The Texas Tech Red Raider Club will host its annual football kick-off luncheon in anticipation of the upcoming 2000 college football season.

Highlighting this year's luncheon will be Brian Jensen, sports director for KXAS-TV in Dallas and a '81 Texas Tech graduate. Jensen will serve as Master of Ceremonies. The luncheon will also feature video highlights, a 2000 season preview and remarks by Texas Tech head coach Spike Dykes.

The event will be held in the Lubbock Civic Center Banquet Hall beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept 2. Tickets are $15 dollars and are available by calling the Red Raider Club at 762-2000. Tickets must be purchased by Tuesday, Aug 31. No tickets will be available at the door.
