Volleyball to Conduct Final Preseason Scrimmage

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech volleyball team will conduct its final intrasquad scrimmage Friday in preparation for its first match against New Mexico State. The scrimmage will begin Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the Women's Gym located on the Texas Tech University campus.

"The scrimmage will be a good tune-up for us as we get ready for our first match," Texas Tech head coach Jeff Nelson said. "We will also try some different things as far as the lineup and work on various situations."

Texas Tech will host New Mexico State in its first match of the season Wednesday, September 1 in the Lubbock Municipal Coliseum. The match will begin at 7 p.m.

The scrimmage will follow Volleyball Media Day activities.
