Ricky Williams Update

LUBBOCK, Texas - A MRI examination Tuesday showed evidence of a sprain to the anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee of Texas Tech tailback and Heisman candidate Ricky Williams. He is scheduled to be examined again later this week by team doctors.
Williams will not play Saturday when the Red Raiders travel to Louisiana-Lafayette.
Williams injured the knee during the first half of Monday?s season-opening loss at Arizona State.
Until now, Williams hadn?t missed a game during his Texas Tech career, amassing 2,509 yards in 23 games.
