Williams To Concentrate On Football

Texas Tech freshman Shaud Williams has decided not to play baseball this season to concentrate on football after practicing with the Red Raiders baseball team last week.
Williams was named the Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year after running for 658 yards and seven touchdowns on 112 carries for the football team. He was a 13th round pick of the Atlanta Braves in the 1999 Major League Baseball free agent draft.
Schedule Change: The Red Raiders series at Nebraska has changed to a 6:30 p.m. game on Friday, March 24 and a doubleheader on Saturday, March 25. The doubleheader will begin at 1:00 p.m.
