Men's Basketball Defeats Conference Foe Baylor, 79-68

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - Rayford Young and Jayson Mitchell scored 20 points each as Texas Tech defeated Baylor 79-68 Saturday night for its first Big 12 Conference victory of the season.
Texas Tech (10-11, 1-9 Big 12) led 34-23 at the half despite making just 11 of 28 shots.
Baylor (11-10, 2-8) made 9 of 25 from 3-point range, including 5 of 17 in the second half.
Tevis Stukes led Baylor with 19 points, including four 3-pointers. Charlie Naihe added 13 points.
Mario Layne had 10 points, 12 rebounds and five assists for Texas Tech. James Ware added 15 points.
