Former Head Football Coach Honored

LUBBOCK, Texas - Former Texas Tech head football coach Spike Dykes was honored Saturday at a reception held at the County Line Restaurant in Lubbock. The event was sponsored by the Texas Tech Football Lettermen's Association and The Committee for Champions.

Dykes and his wife, Sharon, were presented with a new pickup truck and golf cart as thanks for Dykes' 16 years at Tech, 13 of which he spent as head coach for the Red Raiders.
