Cockrum Honored by NCAA

LUBBOCK, Texas - Keith Cockrum is one of just seven Division 1-A players to be awarded a NCAA Postgraduate Football Scholarship, according to an announcement by the association.
Cockrum, who graduates Saturday with a triple major in Finance, Economics and Management Information Systems, completed his entire undergraduate work with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
The Goldthwaite, Texas native started all 11 games in 1999 and recorded 71 total tackles. His career numbers include 189 total tackles, nine tackles for loss and 4? sacks.
Other NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Award winners from Division 1-A programs include Terrence Anderson of the United States Naval Academy, Lee Carter of Alabama-Birmingham, Danny Farmer of UCLA, Travis Forney of Penn State, Rob Renes of Michigan and Brian Shaw of Nebraska.
