LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech football coaching staff welcomed 21 players Tuesday as newcomers reported for the start of training camp. Among the group were 12 scholarship players, eight invited walk-ons and one junior college transfer.
Five freshmen signees will report to campus following the Texas High School Coaches Association All-Star Game. Dylan Gandy, Clay McGuire, Jeremy Milam, Mike Smith and Geremy Woods are slated to play in the game Tuesday in Houston. Junior college linebacker Rashon Rasberry is expected to report Tuesday after taking care of personal business Monday.
Following is the list of Texas Tech football newcomers who reported Monday. Tuesday is an orientation day and newcomers will practice for the first time Wednesday at 10 a.m.
