LUBBOCK, Texas - Football ticket sales have exceeded all expectations since Texas Tech began selling single game tickets and making tickets available via the Internet Monday, according to director of ticket operations Russell Warren.
Warren said that over 15,000 football tickets have been sold since the start of the business day Monday. He said the 9,000 tickets sold Monday established an all-time high for a single day at Tech. Over 2,000 tickets have been sold through the Internet in two days.
At the close of the business day Tuesday, 22,543 season tickets had been sold. That number includes 8,000 student season tickets.
