LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech worked out under the lights Monday night at the grass practice fields east of the Athletic Training Center. The 1-? hour workout was used to work out some of the bumps and bruises from Saturday night's season opening 24-3 win over New Mexico at Jones SBC Stadium.
"We were focused tonight and everybody seems to be getting over the bumps and bruises quickly," head coach Mike Leach said. "Monday practices are hard to gauge. We'll know more on Tuesday and Wednesday. We did seem to be better today than Saturday."
Texas Tech went through a routine Monday workout, concentrating on offensive and defensive schemes, before installing the Utah State game plan.
The Red Raiders host Utah State Sat., Sept. 2, at 6 p.m. on the artificial turf at Jones SBC Stadium. The game is the second of four straight for Tech and the second of eight home games for the season.
