The Texas Tech volleyball team is starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel as the squad is halfway through a stretch of six games in 13 days. Texas Tech played three matches this past week and managed a 2- 1 record with the only loss coming to No. 17 Texas A&M. Texas Tech won't get a breather this week as the squad again faces a three-match slate this week. Texas Tech starts off the week with rival Texas in a 6 p.m. makeup match on Monday night at the United Spirit Arena. Following Monday's match, Texas Tech will travel to Waco for a 7 p.m. match with Baylor on Wednesday night. The week will be capped off on Saturday night when defending national champion Nebraska comes to town for a 7 p.m. match at the USA.
Texas Tech enters this week with an 11-5 overall record and 4-3 mark in Big 12 play. The Red Raiders will have their work cut out for them as Tech's three opponents enter the week with a combined record of 35-12 and 15-9 (Big 12).
Texas Tech's last outing was a 3-0 sweep over the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday. Senior Heather Hughes-Justice paced Texas Tech with 17 kills and .567 hitting.
