FOX Sports Announces Pay-Per-View Outlets

LUBBOCK, Texas - Several Texas cable systems and satellite services DirecTV and DISH Network will offer Saturday's (Nov. 3) Texas A&M-Texas Tech college football game to their customers on pay-per-view (see list below). Suggested retail price is $24.95 for the 1:00 PM CT kickoff from Jones SBC Stadium in Lubbock.
Big 12 Special Order Sports, Fox Sports Net's pay-per-view division, is producing and distributing the telecast to participating programming providers in Texas. Brian Jensen, the voice of Red Raider football (play-by-play), and former Texas A&M quarterback Shea Walker (analyst) call the action.
The game is being televised on pay-per-view because it was not selected for over-the-air broadcast, regional syndication or cable television coverage. Under conference TV rules, games not picked up for regular television distribution can only be televised on pay-per-view in the states of the participating schools.
DirecTV (Channel 779) and DISH Network (Channel 455) are making the telecast available nationwide to alumni groups and commercial establishments.
Programming providers will offer the telecast to their customers on a specially designated pay-per-view channel. The telecast will not pre-empt Fox Sports Net's regularly scheduled programming.
The game will be replayed throughout Fox Sports Net's Southwest region (Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and parts of New Mexico) on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at noon CT.
