Tim Baker Named To All-Fraternity All-American Team

LUBBOCK, Texas - - The North-American Interfraternity Conference announced today that Texas Tech wide receiver Tim Baker (Borger, Texas) was named to its 2000 NIC All-Fraternity All-American Team.
Baker, a member of Beta Theta Pi, concluded his career at Texas Tech with 103 catches for 1,275 yards and 10 touchdowns. He finished the regular season second in the Big 12 and 26th nationally in receiving at 5.8 receptions per game.
Wes Welker (Oklahoma City, Okla.) received honorable mention by the NIC for offense as well as returns. Welker, a member of Phi Delta Theta, completed his freshman year fourth in the Big 12 and 23rd nationally in punt returns, averaging 12.6 yards per return.
