Spaulding Named to All-Academic Team

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech track and field sophomore Shannon Spaulding has been named to the United States Track Coaches' Association All-Academic team, announced today by the USTCA.

Spaulding, a distance runner for both the track and cross country teams, currently carries a perfect 4.0 grade point average. Earlier this season, Spaulding qualified for the NCAAs in the 800 meters at Fayetteville, Ark.

Senior Ngozi Iwu is one of four Red Raiders competing at the NCAA Championships this weekend in Fayetteville, Ark., as she runs in the 400 meters.
