Tech Announces Non-Conference Basketball Schedule

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech announced today at 13-game non-conference schedule, highlighted by a season-opening tournament at the United Spirit Arena. The Red Raiders will play 10 games at home and three on the road.
The season-opening tournament features the Red Raiders against William & Mary on Fri., Nov. 16, followed by San Diego State and Northern Iowa in the second game. The consolation and championship games will be played on Sat., Nov. 17.
Other home opponents include Sam Houston State (Nov. 24), UTEP (Nov. 26), TCU (Dec. 1), Texas-Arlington (Dec. 3), Louisiana-Lafayette (Dec. 17), Stetson (Dec. 22), Minnesota (Dec. 30) and Wyoming (Jan. 2).
The Red Raiders face SMU (Nov. 20) and New Mexico State (Nov. 28) on the road and will meet Houston in the Compaq Center in Houston on Dec. 14.
Texas Tech also will host the California All-Stars (Nov. 3) and Athletes First (Nov. 11) in exhibition games prior to the start of the season.
The Big 12 portion of the schedule will be released later in the summer.
